Lost My Samsung S3,how to get the IMEI number
If you have ever connected your mobile with the Samsung Kies on your machine, then ur IMEI number is stored in the registry of your system.
You can retrieve it from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\DeviceDB\x
IMEI number can be retrieved from your google account if you have ever set it up on S3.
Go to account->dashboard->Devices

Unfortunately, in some (¿newer?) versions of Samsung Kies the registry keys IMEI (and DEVCONINFO) which includes the IMEI number is now a hex field and the contents seem to be now scrambled. Not sure what type of encryption they use.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, it looks like they have done this to prevent fiddling with the registry. There are some registry hacks out ther to make it possible to update Samsung phones by modifying the registry which, in turn, changes how the application behaves.
